How & why to hire Jim Mosier

I am always looking for ways to help others.  If you’re looking for help, and think I may be able to, you can generally get me to do so in one of two ways:

  1. Offer me a partnership.
If I believe in you, your business and feel that it is a good fit for my portfolio, I might consider this option.  I will be upfront, though:  I am very, very selective in who I partner with.  Expect to be completely transparent with your books and answer a lot of questions in the vetting process. If it doesn’t look like it will produce income for me starting at least in the mid five-figure range annually, I will probably suggest you pursue option #2.
  2. Hire me at a flat rate.
If a partnership is not a good fit, I will still be glad to help in the form of a private exclusive consulting arrangement.  These are provided on a flat-rate fee schedule of $2,500 per day or $10,000 per week, plus travel expenses.

What I bring to the table.

In my career I have had the blessing of helping business owners with companies in all stages of existence – from start-ups to well-established brands.  In every case, the key to growing their business was to put in place carefully planned and executed systems.  In my experience, no two companies operate exactly the same, so there is no such thing as a one-size-fits all approach. Some examples of systems that can make a huge impact on your company include:

  • Sales & Marketing
    • Lead Generation Systems
    • Quote/Estimate Generation Systems
    • Automated, event-based follow-up Systems
    • Sales Pipeline Reporting & Tracking
  • Customer Service / Customer Retention
    • Customer Retention Marketing Systems
    • Online & Offline Newsletter Production
    • Customer Segmenting & Profiling Systems
    • Customer Service Policies & Procedure Manuals
  • Technical & Specialized
    • Customized Web Content Management Systems
    • Detailed Web Analysis & Conversion Optimization
    • Connecting Websites To Your Existing Business Software
    • Web Site Analysis, Reporting and Conversion Tracking
    • Connecting you to your vendors and Partners via EDI
    • Publishing your products/content via XML
    • Creating API’s for customers to interface with your systems
Does some of that sound intimidating?  Don’t let it.

Not every company needs (or could use) every one of those systems.  For instance, if you primarily deal with consumers, an API or XML feed probably makes no sense.  However, if you are a wholesale distributor of products, they may make it easier for your clients to put your product data on their own sites, in addition to being able to interface with online giants such as Amazon and Google.

What to expect from a private consulting workshop

Your private consulting workshop will start with clearly identifying the specific goals you want to attain.  Next, we will go in-depth into what systems can be implemented, both procedural and technical to insure you achieve them.  At the end of our workshop, you will have a clear plan of action that you can begin putting in place immediately.  My personal commitment to you is that I will exceed your expectations and give you the knowledge and tools to take your business to another level.

What not to expect from a private consulting workshop

DON’T expect to be hands-off during the process.  Some people would like me to do everything for them.  That’s not what I do.  I work WITH YOU to come up with a plan of action.  I will even help you identify the best resources for getting it done and help you put it into action, but I WILL NOT do it for you.

Further, DON’T expect me to accept your first answer every time I ask a question.  As humans we are naturally skeptical of (even resistant to) new ways of doing things.  Unfortunately, history shows us that doing things the same way every time and expecting a different result is futile.  Just because you are comfortable with things the way they are doesn’t mean a change might not be necessary to push you toward your goals.

In case you’re not familiar with me or my company:
  • The Devil’s in the Details
Most people comment that the biggest benefit to the service I bring to the table is the ability to break large, complex projects into a series of small, attainable and logical steps.  This keeps projects on track, insures that everyone’s expectations are met, and my clients coming back to me over and over again for repeat projects.
  • Welcome To The Inner-Circle
Sometimes it’s not just what you know, but also who you know.  Over the last 20 years, I have built an extensive network of some of the country’s most well-known and respected experts – not just in the web arena, but also general business and marketing.  Simply put, when you hire me – you are not just hiring me, you’re plugging-into one of the most comprehensive braintrusts you will ever find.
  • Guaranteed One-On-One Time
When I am on a private consulting assignment, I completely block off time for your project. Nothing else will be competing for my attention and you won’t have to chase after me to see progress. If anything, you’ll have a hard time keeping up.
